The Challenge: The McBride Companies offer student apartment
rentals on the UW campus. We were asked to build a site that reflects the quality
of the company, its housing, and service. Additionally, the site had to function
as a tool for the leasing agents to show apartments to potential residents
around the world.
Our Solution: Herkimer responded by giving the new site edgy
graphics, contemporary color combinations, and a significant Flash motion graphic
on every site page. Residents can start their search using the "Quick Search"
tool on the home page, and can narrow their search by sorting date, price,
number of bedrooms, and availability date. Once visitors find a unit that
fits their criteria, they can view photos, a floor plan, and apply for it using
McBride's Secure Application.
Sitenote: Nothing is quite as fascinating as photographing
300 different student apartments...nothing.
